Membership Dues:

Don't forget to send your 2010/2011 membership dues. To be in the Directory your membership dues should be paid by September meeting.

What to bring to the Basket Auction:

This coming month is the basket auction/potluck so here is the list of what each letter in the alphabet is to bring:

· A-I – Main dish (if it doesn’t have to be heated) Salads (green, pasta, or potato)

· J-R– Finger Foods (deli meat and cheese trays, vegetable or fruit trays)

· S-Z – Dessert

Rolls, bread, drinks, butter, condiments, paper plates and eating utensils will be supplied by NIQ.

Thanking you all for participating, it is very much appreciated.  Hope to see everyone at the meeting and ready to have some fun bidding.

July 26 NIQ Membership Meeting: Shrine Club, 1250 W. Lancaster Rd, Hayden, ID. Early meeting time: 6:00 P.M. for Basket Auction and Potluck. Open guest night so bring a friend or lots of friends. New quilters always welcome.

Kaye England will lecture on her “Voices from The Past” series at our September meeting and teach from any one of her 12 patterns in that series, or from the book Voices From The Past II. Sign up sheets will be available at the basket auction and Sept. 27 meeting.  The cost for the lecture is $5 for non-members and free to NIQ members.

The class is at Lyle’s Fabrics on Tues., Sept. 28 from 10 am until 4 P.M. and the cost is

$60 plus lunch.

Lyle’s will have the book and patterns available to purchase or order.  Check out the civil

war fabrics that Lyle’s has and be prepared to spend the day sewing with Kaye and

friends. Bear Paw Quilting and Bernina in Coeur d’Alene and The Quilting Bee in Spokane

have a great selection of civil war fabrics as well.
